Research reference
Retatrutide (development code LY3437943) is a 39-amino-acid single peptide engineered from a GIP peptide backbone, incorporating three non-coded amino acid residues at positions 2, 13, and 20 and a fatty-acid acylation. In vitro characterization describes balanced glucagon-receptor and GLP-1-receptor activity with greater GIP-receptor activity, with pharmacology assessed in cAMP assays using recombinant cell lines expressing each receptor individually. Retatrutide is an investigational compound and has not been approved for use by the FDA or any other regulatory authority. Research use only. Not for human consumption.
