Research reference
Epitalon (also written epithalon) is a synthetic tetrapeptide with the sequence Ala-Glu-Asp-Gly (AEDG), a structure derived from the study of pineal-gland peptide preparations. Laboratory characterization reported in the literature has examined telomerase expression and telomere length in cultured cells, pineal melatonin-synthesis pathways, and AEDG-associated gene expression and epigenetic signaling in model systems. Epitalon is an investigational research compound and has not been approved for use by the FDA or any other regulatory authority. Research use only. Not for human consumption.
