Research reference
Sermorelin is a synthetic 29-amino-acid peptide corresponding to the 1–29 N-terminal fragment of human growth-hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH), which the literature describes as the shortest fragment retaining the activity of the parent sequence. Its sequence is YADAIFTNSYRKVLGQLSARKLLQDIMSR with a C-terminal amide. Published work covers the isolation and characterization of growth-hormone-releasing factor, structure–activity studies of GRF(1-29) analogs, and the molecular cloning and cryo-EM structural characterization of the GHRH receptor. Sermorelin is an investigational research compound and has not been approved for use by the FDA or any other regulatory authority. Research use only. Not for human consumption.
